We would like to inform you about the upcoming scheduled maintenance of the Identity Digital Production environment as set forth below. There will be no registrar-impacting changes as part of this release. The updates contained in this release are part of the ongoing enhancement of the registry.

Expected Duration: 120 minutes
Maintenance will only affect our Production environment and is anticipated to take up to 120 minutes. EPP, Registrar Portal, WHOIS, and RDAP services will be unavailable during this time. DNS services will remain fully operational.

Notification emails will be sent at the beginning of the maintenance period in our Production environment. An email will be sent to notify all Registrar partners if there are any significant delays to the scheduled maintenance. These notifications will be addressed to the Admin and Tech notification contacts created on your Production account.

Following the conclusion of the maintenance, the changes below can be expected:
Domain Restore - Domain restore operation may be performed on a domain with serverUpdateProhibited status.
Host Name Update - Updates to out-of-zone hosts will not be permitted when that host object is linked to a domain sponsored by another registrar in the registry.
Registration Data Policy Phase 1 - OTE - Association of contact data to a new and existing domain name will be optional.
Transfer Query - The response will contain the details for the most recent transfer operation and the transfer status of that most recent transfer operation.
Enhancement to Domain Check Query - A single DomainCheck command may include up to 20 domains.

Details
Registrars will be able to perform a restore operation on a domain name even if the name has a serverUpdateProhibited status. A domain restore operation must continue to be performed in alignment with RFC 3915.

Details
After the maintenance, updates to out-of-zone hosts will not be permitted when that host object is linked to a domain sponsored by another registrar in the registry. Attempts to update such linked hosts will not be processed and will result in an EPP error code 2305. This is in alignment with section 3.2.5 of RFC 5732.

Details
In line with Phase 1 of the Registration Data Policy, contact objects of all types will become optional for all PIR TLDs (.charity, .foundation, .gives, .ngo, .ong, .org, .xn--c1avg, .xn--i1b6b1a6a2e, .xn--nqv7f, .xn--nqv7fs00ema) as part of this release in the OTE environment.

The PIR registry instance will accept new registrations and transfers in the OT&E environment with either the current data set or the new minimum data set.

The transfer query command will return responses for a domain if a transfer operation has been completed previously. The response will now contain the details of the most recent transfer operation along with any of the following transfer statuses per RFC 5731.

Details Currently, the registry system accepts 5 domains in a single Domain Check command. After the maintenance, the registry will accept a maximum of 20 domains in a single Domain Check command. Submitting more than 20 domains in a single Domain Check command will result in an error.
